According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the largest botanical garden in the world belongs to The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, in London.
These gardens cover some 250 acres (100 hectares) and include more than 30,000 different species of plants.

The History of the Park
Like many of its peers, Central Park’s origins can be traced back to a real-estate scheme from 1853 called The Greensward Plan.
Englishman Frederick Law Olmsted (creator of Central Park and Prospect Park) was hired by New York City to help design parks that would be closer to nature than anything else created up until that point.
At 742 acres, NYC’s largest park is 10 times larger than London’s Hyde Park. When it was finished in 1873, it also became one of America’s largest urban parks.

To get to Mount Rainier National Park from Seattle, you can take Interstate 5 south until it meets Highway 410.

Follow that road north until it ends at a parking lot, where you’ll want to start exploring.
There are more than 11 miles of hiking trails as well as several picnic areas, which makes for a relaxing visit any time of year (but be aware that some roads are closed during winter).
