I am Glad to present my Implant training article !!

 I am VIGNESH M S/O Murugan Geetha, Tamilnadu, vadalur, did my schooling in Seventh day eden matric.Hr sec.school.Now pursuing 3^rd year Mechanical Engineering at Mahendra college of engineering trichengode. Herewith I publish my article on SME RC machines for which I have attended implant training at NLC (Neyveli lignite corporation pvt.ltd) , Neyveli  ! Enjoy reading !!

INTRODUCTION:

  SME RC YARD deals with the reconditioning work of the various mechanical    equipments specially Gearboxes, Shafts, and Roller drums that are used in the mining machines

These Gearboxes after failure are dismantle from the mining machines by the MRR division of SME and are taken to SME RC yard

SME IS SPLIT INTO FOUR MAJOR ZONES THEY ARE:

•      Reconditioning (RC)

•      Machine maintenance (MM)

•      Major repairs and renewal (MRR)

•      Over hauls (OH)

Major repairs and renewal (MRR)machine maintenance (MM) are the zones which deals with the work mostly done on site, while reconditioning (RC) and over haul (OH) zones have separate yards to do the work which deals with machines parts failures like gear boxes etc.

The various Gearboxes that are reconditioned in SME RC Yard are:

u Bucket-Wheel Gearbox

u  Conveyer Belt Gearbox

u  Rotary Plate Gearbox

u  Main Slewing Gearbox

u Track (or) Cam Gearbox

u Cable drum Gearbox

u  Cable drum Guide Gearbox

u BUCKET WHEEL GEARBOX

u The gears inside of a gearbox can be any one of a number of types from bevel gears and spiral bevel gears to worm gears and others such as planetary gears. The gears are mounted on shafts, which are supported by and rotate via rolling element bearings. The gearbox is a mechanical method of transferring energy from one device to another and is used to increase torque while reducing speed. Gearboxes are used in many applications including machine tools, industrial equipment, conveyors, and really any rotary motion power transmission application that requires changes to torque and speed requirements.

u MTC is known as Mobile Transfer Conveyor, which is placed in between the bucket wheel excavator and the conveyor, as a bridge. In MTC there occurs slewing gearbox, which is used to slew the hoist boom, along with the machine in 360 degrees.

u Mostly exposed to harsh conditions when operated in mines and other bulk materials handling applications require heavy-duty drives.The right solution for either moderate or extreme climate conditions is offered in wikov traditional gearbox. FEA optimized gearbox casing for increased rigidity and optimal power to weight ratio. Maintenance free operations due to smart lubrication system.
